onto today’s topic: act immediately ✅
i’ve noticed one of the best ways to impress someone professionally or gain momentum for yourself is to execute rapidly.
if you have an idea, act on it asap. if you just added a to-do to your list, can you knock it out right now? if you just agreed to meet with someone, send them the gcal invite or coffee shop options immediately. 🏃♀️
don’t let time disrupt momentum.
this mindset is better known as being biased towards action. rather than applying this mental framework to making irrational choices, it’s a better model to favour action over no progress at all. remember, ideas and promises are always just that until it’s executed upon. 🤷♀️
if you’ve just hopped off a pitch call with a potential client and they were curious about implementing a different feature, i’d be willing to bet a lot of money that you’d close that client if you pulled an all-nighter and shipped that feature, making it ready for them to try out the next day.
acting immediately is a plain display of dedication and how high something ranks in your priorities. 🗞️
your required activation energy to begin developing habits, complete tasks, and about anything only grows as time passes. picture an exponential graph where activation energy is the y-axis, and the time since you first thought of the intended action is on the x-axis.
you’ll experience the least friction if you favour action.
