toning my calves at wonderland 🎢

onto today’s topic: amusement parks are a workout 🎢
i’ve hit up canada’s wonderland twice this week despite amusement parks not being my first-choice for an outing (ever). right now, the conditions are ideal with little crowd because school is ongoing alongside the decent weather.
i used to be able to spend an entire day at wonderland — from the morning to past sunset. now? i’m disappointed in my lack of vigour. i barely last until 5pm. 😭
i went with my best friends today and we ended up “getting lunch” for 3 hours outside the park and were more interested in a nap afterwards instead of the rollercoasters LOL. it’s alright though, there isn’t really a rush to knock out each attraction. half-days are acceptable .. we’re old now.
the bones are creaking. literally 3 years ago i’d be able to go the whole day skipping from one ride to the next without missing a beat. i don’t even think it’s a stamina problem — give me a destination to hike to with a scenic route and i’ll be fired up. amusement parks are just a danger zone for exhaustion:
1) standing in the sun for long periods of time
2) a lot of walking
3) crowds and congestion
yup, exhaustion. 😴
i mean, my step count is at 20,000+ just from today’s trip. amusement parks are a workout for my legs and stomach (laughter tones abs).
