onto today’s topic: another uni infiltration 😇 

despite all 3 of my best friends attending mcmaster university, i’ve never stepped foot on the campus. naturally, the day before my flight back to chapel hill, i decided to infiltrate campus. 😁 

i never really toured different university campuses in my senior year of high school, and it’s funny that i only now noticed the differences in campus cultures. i knew, generally speaking, that american schools are more vibrant in energy, but i may have been a little dramatic about the lack of it in canadian schools.

there’s exciting chatter wherever there are young people honestly.

to my high school seniors, and maybe second-guessing college freshmen, you can’t really choose wrong with your undergrad. there are pockets of great people everywhere. sometimes, it just takes a bit to find them. i must say, however, i struck pretty well with unc chapel hill. it’s a beautiful campus. 😋 

my friends showed me all of their favourite spots at mcmaster, and i’m now typing this while siting in on one of their biochemistry lectures. hiding our laughter as we type away in a group chat as class goes on, and sitting centimeters apart brings me back to high school — it’s bittersweet, yet comforting knowing the distance hasn’t made our bond weaken in the slightest.

i’ll miss home, and everyone that makes it home. 💌
