being off-balance is okay 🤷♀️

onto today’s topic: balance is unrealistic 🤷♀️
we have all priorities, and it’s important to have them. having a perfect split between work, health, fun and other aspects is unrealistic. different parts of life require you to divvy up your time.
what is realistic, however, is adhering to your needs. even if work or school is a priority, that doesn’t mean you should neglect your health.
“balance” is something you’re constantly adjusting, that’s just how life is. the need to maintain balance sometimes becomes a source of stress itself and that seems pretty counterproductive, doesn’t it? 🤨
sometimes you need to be fully present and committed to an aspect of life, and that’s okay. you don’t have to break an important focus state to achieve balance.
imagine if you lived your childhood with the concept of balance at the forefront.
a little bit of reading, screen time, playing with friends, outside time, school .. all in moderation, every week. those childhood memories with oversaturated colours would probably be a little duller if that was the case. 🌈
chasing curiosity and diving deep into learning takes more time than a perfectly balanced lifestyle can handle. if you’ve become super invested in a new personal project, content series or workout regiment, why not invest more time into it?
just don’t completely abandon the other aspects of your life. balance doesn’t have to be an exact split — it’s what works for you and your needs. for that to work, you do have to be honest with yourself about those needs.
