onto today’s topic: beehiiv ✍️

completely unsponsored, but the platform i use to write all of my blog posts and send them to your emails is beehiiv, a b2b/b2c saas startup. since i started using it a year and a half ago, it has been one of my favourite products to use even after comparing it with my experiences on competing tools.

beehiiv’s usp is the control over design, analytics, and monetization that it gives to its users. i have a lot of freedom with how i want my publication to represent myself and my goals, and it’s something thousands of other users also appreciate. 😁 beehiiv boasts a user-friendly interface which cuts down the annoyance of setting up dozens of different knobs before hitting publish.

if you ever want to write something and have the world see it, i’d recommend beehiiv.

let’s talk numbers! 🤓

beehiiv operates in the email marketing industry, which is a market projected to generate over $10 billion in revenue by the end of 2024. it’s a surprising figure, but roi (return on investment) justify it: email marketing offers an average return of $36 for every $1 spent, which significantly outperforms social media marketing in customer acquisition and engagement rates (source).

beehiiv’s value-add is evident through enabling creators to achieve open rates as high as 40.17% for certain campaigns, surpassing industry averages of 10-20%. as a result in 2024, beehiiv’s annual recurring revenue (arr) reached ~$15 million and the ad network alone facilitated creators collectively earning $1.2 million in may 2024 (source). 💰️

questions i’d be interested to ask:

  • what are your most effective customer acquisition strategies? how do you convert loyal users from competitors?

  • what have been your biggest points of feedback for user experience and interface?
