body clock curse
maybe a good sleep schedule isn't so good ⏰

onto today’s topic: body clock curse ⏰
my sleep schedule is so good that it’s a curse.
i’ve been sleeping (pretty) consistently from 11 pm/12 am-7 am for the past 2.5 months, and for the past 2 weeks or so i’ve noticed that i will always wake up at 7 am even if i set my alarm for 10 am to reward myself with a day of sleeping in.
i am no longer able to sleep in. 😡
i have been cursed.
i didn’t even set an alarm for these last 3 days and woke up right on time (7:03, 6:59 & 7:00 am). it’s actually absurd.
i’ve always had a pretty good sleep schedule, but it has never been self-sustaining. i always had to set alarms, and sometimes i would wake up naturally at the 8 hour mark. it was never bound to the time of day.
now it is. 😟 so it doesn’t even matter if i’m going to sleep at 2 am and set my alarm for 9 am, i will be waking up at 7.
of course, it’s not all that bad. a schedule is now hardcoded into my body and that feels really good since i’m a major routine-oriented person. i’m forced to start my day off and get going with making a dent on my list of to-do’s.
still, sleeping in is one of life’s small joys. i’ve been robbed. 😵
