onto today’s topic: complacent being unhealthy šŸ„•

i’m the type of person who wants to dismantle the root cause immediately when i feel the slightest bit unhealthy. my view of a solution is targeting the cause to ensure it doesn’t happen again, rather than reaching for an intervention that numbs symptoms.

headache? well, i’m gonna sleep more or eat a hearty meal rather than popping an advil.

i’ve noticed that many of us are often very complacent about being unhealthy or with our bodies not being fully functional. it’s not normal to feel nauseous every day or spend every night battling a headache. 🫵

we are meant to be energetic and pain-free. if that’s not the case, there’s something that neds to be fixed, not accepted.

health isn’t something you suddenly remember once it becomes debilitating. it’s important to keep wellness in mind at every point in your life — it’s what keeps us going after all. complacency is the worst thing you can do when you don’t feel entirely healthy. being constantly fatigued is unhealthy. iron deficiency is unhealthy. having randomly sore muscles all the time is unhealthy.

if you’re not healthy, then you’re unhealthy. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø that might seem like a silly thing to reiterate, but we often don’t call ourselves unhealthy until it’s actually detrimental. that’s the consequence of complacency.
