onto today’s topic: excitement is endearing 😁 

what is there to be ashamed of when looking out the window and marveling at the stars shining brightly in the sky? when chattering away about a topic you’re passionate about? when wearing a smile so big because your joy can’t be contained?

expressing excitement is such a sweet thing, and that zest for life is something i find incredibly endearing in others. 💌 

i recently asked someone, “what’s a trait you particularly like in others?” and the question got returned to me. 60% of the time the answer i receive from others, and 100% of the time from myself, is when someone is passionate about something — anything.

it says a lot about someone’s character when they’re able to gain energy from the little things in life and share that excitement with others. the worst thing you can do is ridicule that excitement or tell someone to “relax.”

if you can’t find excitement in life, why stomp on others’?

pure, unbridled joy will never be embarrassing, don’t let others make you feel that way. many of our lifelong goals of “finding happiness” don’t just get checked off one day, it manifests in the small moments of cheer throughout our lives. ☀️
