onto today’s topic: fav japan eats 🍽️

japan was a holy grail of some amazing food, with a surprisingly good selection of vegetarian options. i know that japan is super high up on a lot your lists so i thought i’d drop some of my favourite eats throughout my 2-month trip. 🍜

tokyo:
osaka:
  • café nams → yummy cakes with a beautiful interior

  • chidori bunka → grilled cheese, but better than you can imagine & inside a super artsy building

  • bear paw cafe → cute concept of a bear handing you yummy parfaits 🐻

  • jtrrd → smoothie art? and it tastes good???

  • tonton café → more parfaits LOL but this time animal-themed and in a cozy café

  • cafeぱんどみー → best french toast i’ve ever had

kyoto:

  • rokujuan → a beautiful traditional japanese experience serving warabi mochi

  • musoshin ramen → affordable michelin-star ramen with vegan & veg options 🍜

  • kumonocha bukkoji → absolutely stunning interior specializing in cute cloud-shaped cakes

  • sawano café → homely little café run by an elderly man that creates animal sculptures out of fruit

  • kazariya → truly a pleasant vibe served with dango and hot tea in a traditional teahouse setting

  • mumokuteki cafe&foods → stellar vegan food & desserts

  • loose kyoto → quiet café off a busy street selling delicious donuts 🍩

  • kyoto nama chocolat → quiet garden and café serving speciality chocolates and a serene atmosphere

don’t forget to try as connivence store food as possible as well. it’s so good.

hope this is helpful for any of you! all pics are always on my instagram. ;)
