my headphones are beat

(literally) 🎧️

onto today’s topic: my headphones are beat 🎧️

in grade 4, i got my first pair of headphones: a shiny pair of silver blue wireless beats. they’re the only pair of headphones i use to this day, and are literally beat. it’s about time i upgrade..

to be fair, i never really used them until high school, and it’s a good thing i didn’t because i would probably have major hearing difficulty right now. 😭 they were stored away in my cabinet until i got sick of rollerblading with airpods in. i could barely hear the music, the airpods would fall out, and it was just an inconvenience in general.

in grade 10, i randomly remembered that i own headphones and haven’t gone back since. i love feeling the music entirely and letting it take over my hearing — it’s another level of enjoying music.

i pretty much use them every day. i get a confidence boost, they’re a perfect fashion accessory, nobody approaches me on the streets, they help me focus, and most importantly, they look cool as hell. 😋

the problem with my headphones now is that they’re literally falling apart and the battery life is only a few hours. they also hurt the top of my head if i wear them for more than 30 minutes at a time.

what i want from my headphones:

  • decently priced

  • will make me feel the music in my bones

  • noise cancelling

  • comfortable

  • good build-in mic system 🎤

mine are on its last legs — do you have any recommendations for headphones? the sony xm4/xm5 seems to be a good fit, but that price is steep!

how do you listen to your music?
