onto today’s topic: i enjoy being the camera friend 📸

as my combined birthday and christmas gift last year, my parents bestowed upon me the wonderful sony α6400 and i’ve been obsessed with it ever since.

i love capturing the beauty, mood and memories of different places and occasions. i do in fact look back at photos all the time and relive my emotions. 💌 we often forget about the highlights in our life, especially when we’re in a bit of a low mood, and these photos, memories, serve as a consistent reminder that the negative moments are so minuscule in magnitude in the scope of my photo gallery.

for every photo where i see my friends, family, and myself smiling, i become more appreciative for the existence of photos and their everlasting mark in the digital world.

i grew up rolling my eyes whenever my mom asked my siblings and i to line up and smile for a group photo. i regret that irritation now — those photos mean so much to my mom, and now me as well. 🫂

she’s the camera friend in our family, and i also similarly love being the camera friend. to be able to show my friends photos of them absolutely thriving and invigorated with life is a blessing. one of my favourite parts of a fun day is uploading all of the photos onto my laptop and looking through them all, shouting at one of my friends to come over and look at a cool photo.

taking photos is a lot of fun. i want to get better at the editing side of things so that’s something i’m currently working on.
