onto today’s topic: i love canvassing? 🚪 

my advice to enjoying canvassing? troll the entire time.

today i joined aadya while she was canvassing and encouraging unc students to vote in the ongoing presidential election. she was getting paid for it. i was not, but i thought it would be fun(ny).

sahil, aadya & i spent the next hour after lunch camped at a part of campus with high foot-traffic and were public nuisances. 😇 it was a blast. we approached every other stranger and asked them whether or not they voted and treated it all like an act, raising our voices, dapping up random people, and calling them out for answering with a suspicious “yes, i voted.”

i have no shame in public, especially when it comes to intersecting with strangers, and my friends are so compatible with this trait, which makes it even better. i had a lot of fun for that hour and it was also gratifying seeing people walk away with smiles on their faces from our silly interactions.

not only that, we actually did some good in the world by practicing our civic duty and getting more votes in. the funniest part was that i can’t even vote myself. 💀
