onto today’s topic: i’ll be right back 🏃‍♀️ 

so … i haven’t missed a day of writing this blog since august 1st. even when i was on the summit of kilimanjaro, i was sending out posts to your inboxes.

i was literally about to hit my 1 year streak, but unfortunately all emails are being paused for the next 3 weeks. i will be going on a sailing expedition with outward bound without any access to technology as required by my scholarship program, morehead-cain. ⛵️ 

these 3 weeks with nothing but a boat and 10 other scholars will be rough, but also a valuable time for me to reflect on this whole year. it’ll be a worthwhile ending to this year — full of introspection, one last hurrah, and an opportunity for me to grow in ways i probably can’t even imagine right now.

we’ll see if that’s actually the case when i get back to you all in 3 weeks LOL. maybe i’ll be a completely different person. 😵‍💫 

i’m still going to be keeping up my habit of writing something every day. i will be bringing a journal with me and plan to write brief anecdotes, observations and insights daily.

maybe my first post when i return will simply be a series of photos from that journal. you’ll be able to judge my handwriting too. we’ll see!
