onto today’s topic: it doesn’t cost a lot to have fun 💵
the price tag for hanging out in toronto adds up really fast. $26 normally in public transportation, another $15ish for food, and $20-30 for some sort of activity. i always have a lot of fun (because of the company, more than what we’re actually doing), but this enjoyment can also come at a price that my bank account would appreciate. 🧘♀️
with the right people, it doesn’t really have to cost much (or anything) to have fun. my friend and i had a blast baking puff pastries with ingredients we already had, and binging random kdramas, all for a grand total of $0.
obviously, distance and transportation might be an inevitable expense, but beyond that the activities and entertainment don’t have to be a $90 keychain workshop in downtown toronto. free ice skating is everywhere, so many museums are free to enter, and walks are $0 (+ you get your steps in). 😍
of course, the more unique activities like pottery or rock climbing will have a price tag so save those for times you really want to experience them. if your intention is just to have a good time with a friend or someone new, there are a ton of ways to do that. the number one factor to having fun is enjoyable conversation and cracking jokes. 😋
that costs nothing at all. :)
