onto today’s topic: it’s okay to take up space 🌙

for a lot of women in my community, i’ve noticed we find it difficult taking up space. we often don’t post about our accomplishments on linkedin, take the socializing spotlight in networking events, or even just claim a seat at the front of a conference speaker session.

it’s okay to take up space. we’re all on this earth anyways — we might as well maximize our presence and claim our space with confidence while we’re on it. 🌏

don’t shy away from taking up space because of your fear of being perceived or fear of judgement. people will always look negatively upon you, but there will also always be people that look up to you and want to reach out to connect with you at a deeper level.

it’s a harsh job market and even harsher landscape for forming meaningful relationships. taking up space is the only way to put yourself out there, so take it by the reins. 🐎

if you want to go the extra mile for an internship application, go for it. don’t be afraid of overdoing it and taking up too much of a recruiter’s time. take up as much as possible, because it gives your more opportunities to leave a good impression.

it’s okay to take up space. take all that you want. ❤️
