onto today’s topic: lead with intention, follow-up with reflection 💭
you could go through the most growth-inducing experience of your life intentionally, but have it leave ultimately zero of that impact on your mindset or life if you skip taking a moment to just reflect.
thinking through your actions, experiences, choices, and ideas is incredibly vital. oftentimes, we rely too much on the “natural process of changing over time.” little do we know that reflecting on how you’ve changed is the most powerful catalyst to your own growth. contextualize your learnings — don’t let them stay as experiences that your mind will eventually translate into learnings through your actions down the road. 🛣️
we dive into so many experiences to boost our personal, professional, and social lives. that intentionality isn’t something we typically forget about; however, the reflection piece is rarely there. i’m not telling you to write a 2-page write-up on every little experience that makes up your day by any means (that sounds like hell). just giving yourself 2-minutes at the end of the day will get the job done and keep you grounded in those initial intentions you led with.
what’s your process for reflection? mine is this blog. 😁
