different take on the challenge 🍎

onto today’s topic: my 75 kinda-hard 🍎
i’ll spare you the long explanation as to what 75 hard is since this post does a good job explaining it. briefly, 75 hard is a set of health-related goals you must complete every single day for 75 days straight without fail. this includes following a diet, completing 2 workouts (1 outdoors, 1 indoors), no alcohol, and more. 🧘♀️
i wanted to do the challenge back in august 2023, but i knew my schedule (especially while traveling) would be too unpredictable and 75 hard would be restrictive of higher priority things in my life as a result.
so, i designed my own version: harsehaj’s 75 kind-hard, which has now, 11 months later, translated into a generally healthier lifestyle that leaves me feeling satisfied and accomplished every single day. 😁
i’ll give the quick rundown on what 75 kinda-hard looked like:
drink 2L of water
exercise for at least 45 mins
read 10 pages of a book
spend 15 minutes practicing a skill (has been writing through this blog)
stick to a vegetarian diet*
no alcohol or any intoxicating substance*
the points marked with an asterisk (*) were already part of my lifestyle anyways so they didn’t make much of a difference. i found myself mostly struggling with the first 2 points but once i passed the 2 week mark, it became like second nature to me. in fact, i feel disoriented if i don’t meet all these checkboxes by the end of the day.
if 75 hard is scary and stopping you from reaching a healthier version of yourself, start smaller. 🔎make your own 30 soft, but don’t be too soft. it shouldn’t be easy.
what are some of your healthy habits?
