onto today’s topic: i’m not a napper 💤

my philosophy is if you’re going to take a 3h+ nap, you might as well stay asleep just wake up early for the next day

i don’t really take naps (history class during quarantine was an exception), because rather than feeling fresh afterwards, i feel even more sluggish and disoriented. the only time i’ll succumb to a nap is if i’m literally falling asleep on the spot, and those are 15-20 minute power naps. ⚡️

if i’m really that tired, i just go to sleep early for the night and wake up that much earlier as well.

i totally understand the need to take a nap after a long school or work day though, it just doesn’t work for me. my recharge after a long work period is food + a walk or youtube binge.

napping also prevents me from getting restful sleep at night. i’ve noticed that any time that i’ve tried to take a nap, my quality of sleep overnight decreases drastically.

however, today was one of those days where i unintentionally fell asleep for like 2 hours, also ruining my plans to do some work. 😭 i’m hoping i still sleep fine, otherwise the fatigue is going to trickle into this fresh week.

are you pro napping or anti napping?
