onto today’s topic: i embrace my inner nerd 🤓

nerdiness has a pretty weird rep. because of that, nerding out about things isn’t considered fun in society, it’s a buzzkill.

it’s hard to find people that also enjoy having conversations about health inaccessibility at midnight, and doing just dance to timber 5 minutes later. i let my inner nerd out and about, and it sparks really great conversations with the right people.

it has only been 2 days of my time in the explore fellowship, and i have had the nerdiest fun ever. i love it. 🫂

we hopped into the lake yesterday, and ended up playing the atlas game in the water for an hour straight while the lifeguards stared at us like we were crazy. we were in a whole lake, and decided to just name countries until we couldn’t anymore.

it was so fun sharing random pieces of knowledge, and i think nerdy conversations shouldn’t be reserved strictly for school or work settings.

i love embracing my inner nerd and turning topics in health, ai and more into fun conversations. if i really enjoy a topic, why can’t some fun be centered around it?

this post is starting to remind me of the “can we talk about the political and economic state of the world?” meme, but if you find it fun to do that, i think nerding out should be perfectly acceptable. 🤞

it’s not easy to nerd out if everyone around you doesn’t appreciate it. i’m grateful to have so many nerdy friends that consider both go-karting and rapping about philosophy to be equally fun.
