onto today’s topic: passion isn’t overrated ⭐️

i love listening to people talk about what fuels their fire — i believe passion is one of the most endearing characteristics a person can have.

it’s key to differentiate between something that sparks passion versus interest. we throw the the term “passion” around pretty loosely which is why the adjective has lost a lot of its value and merit. 📉 that still doesn’t mean passion is overrated.

are you really passionate about ai, or is this just an interest? passion would motivate you to stay up to date on all of the changes in the space, teach yourself how to build neural networks and tell others about it. if that resonates, you’re pretty passionate about ai.

passion evokes emotion, whether it’s excitement for innovation or anger for a problem space. it’s more than a google search or the occasional hour of piano practice. it’s a powerful trait that drives change, innovation and perseverance. 💪

it’s a good thing to be invested in something — anything. passion is in and of itself a testament of your love for life. you love life enough to hold something about it so dearly to your heart. that says a lot about someone’s character and it’s not something to scoff at.

tell people you’re passionate about x, y or z. allow yourself to feel deeply about some of the millions of things you do on a daily basis.
