onto today’s topic: my plushie obsession 🧸

i have 2 drawers full of plushies that i have amassed over the years (+ my favourite ones win a spot on my bed). i probably have way more if i take every single one from my childhood into account as well.

first, it was random disney plushies, then in middle school i grew to love beanie boos, and now i fawn over squishmallows (+ literally anything from miniso).

why am i talking about this?

well, i think it’s so fun to see people’s faces light up when they see a plushie. i brought my newly added pikachu stuffie to camp, and it struck up so many conversations of collecting pokemon cards during childhood, to the story behind it. 📖

there’s so much packed behind each stuffed animal, and they are a reminder that we will all always have some childhood wonder. i still have my stuffed moose with my birth year stamped on it, and still reminisce about my other lost stuffed moose that i got on my first ever camping trip (his name was moosie). some people collect polaroids or postcards to remember special events. i collect little companions that are also one of my favourite conversations starters (after music).

plushies are a token of joy that we all cherished throughout childhood, so why get rid of it just because we’re growing up? i don’t see the logic in doing that.

so, i’ll let my plushie obsession continue and bring me many more happy moments.

do you have any stuffed animals? 🧸
