onto todayās topic: pressure to do it all āļø
i juggle a lot of different commitments in my day-to-day life.
the reason why i rarely feel overwhelmed by it, however, is because iāve honed the skill of prioritization pretty well.
thereās always a pressure to do more ā to do it all. thereās a difference between feeling that pressure out of obligation to succeed, and wanting to do it all. the latter is a whole other topic that i alluded to in a previous post. i would love nothing more than to live multiple, fulfilled lives in this lifetime. unfortunately, our capitalist society isnāt supportive of that. š¬
i sympathize with feeling like the best way to optimize for success is to do everything all at once. make content on the side, get perfect grades, maintain a healthy lifestyle, have an internship lined up, be part of a dozen clubs, go out every weekend with friends, run a non-profit ⦠and thatās only the start.
you donāt have to do it all.
being an executive for 6 different clubs doesnāt ever serve you well. neither does starting 5 different personal projects and then competing in 4 different hackathons in the span of a month. š
imposter syndrome is a real thing, but just because youāre not doing āas muchā as someone else, doesnāt mean you donāt deserve success.
