my relationship with sleeping

onto today’s topic: my relationship with sleep 💤
i love sleeping. i need at least 7 hours every day or else i won’t be a functioning human being.
i’ve never been one to stay up super late, or wake up super early. i’m a pretty middle-time frame sleeper. i typically go to sleep by 12 and wake up at 8, or a little later on the weekends.
in fact, it’s physically impossible for me to stay up past 3am. i just crash, and because of this, i have never pulled an all-nighter. ever. i’ve tried multiple times at sleepovers, but i just pass out. it’s kind of lame, honestly. it’s okay though, my sleep is protected and i’m always energized for the day.
sleeping in a cabin with others at the explore fellowship was definitely .. an experience for my sleep. i’m a very light sleeper, so random alarms ringing at 5am were not the greatest. 😭 i still managed to catch up on sleep by taking a few naps.
however, naps are normally a last resort for me. i generally have enough sleep to last me throughout the day, and i’ve found that naps leave me pretty disoriented and even more tired. that might just be me though, i’m probably not napping correctly.
sleep is extremely important to me, and i prioritize it. i even schedule around my activities to the next day to ensure i get at least 7 hours. getting enough sleep sets the trajectory for my day. my mental state, energy and productviity rely on it heavily. 💪
instead of trying out a million productivity apps, tackling the root cause of sleep and nutrition is 100x more effective.
how much sleep do you get daily?
