onto today’s topic: taking notes on life 📝

i’m the type of person that writes down my observations of the world, especially now that i’ve been actively traveling.

i have a subpage for “[insert country] revelations” in each country that i’ve been to, and keep the general ones in a page titled the same as this blog. i write down anything — from problems that could use solving to the coffee culture in vietnam linked back to farming patterns.

most of the time they aren’t significant enough to be spun into a blog, but i enjoy making my thoughts not so fleeting. 🎐 the more concrete my thoughts are, the easier it is to make connections and string together different lines of thought to form larger narratives.

since i’ve started doing this 3 months ago, i’ve improved my story-telling significantly because i actually remember the intricate, interesting details from the stories i’ve lived through. we have so many unique thoughts every day, every minute even — there’s no way you can possibly remember them all. you might as well preserve the interesting ones. maybe you’ll take note of a billion dollar idea. 🤷‍♀️

the same way we take notes for course work, taking notes on your thoughts, ideas and the world around you will probably help you remember them and apply the knowledge elsewhere.

just a thought. 😁

in all honesty i’m not a huge writer, but i know how important documentation is for the preservation of my thoughts.

and i sure do enjoy thinking. 💭
