onto today’s topic: think time 🤔

after having a conversation today with a friend on different project ideas to work on, i realized i haven’t given myself to ideate or brainstorm in quite a while. it’s probably also why i’ve been feeling a little lost on what the backbone progress towards my larger goal is.

i don’t have any project i’m currently actively working on because i haven’t thought of a super exciting idea, but that’s just an excuse — i haven’t given myself the time to sit down and let my mind filter through the different problems i’ve identified in the world and how solutions could be innovated. 🪄

that conversation was a good wake up call and i feel a lot more excited by the prospect of working on something once again. i’ve blocked time this weekend to research and ideate projects/solutions that interest me.

i wrote about blocking time to think a little over a year ago, and it serves as a good reminder of the headspace i was in then: ready to build as a part of the residency in san francisco. although my environment is pretty different now, my drive to create something new hasn’t changed.

i’m thankful for the realization early on now, rather than sinking my time into commitments that are socially perceived as the pathway to success. 🔓️
