onto today’s topic: thoughts on “money will come back” 💸
i’m the type that believes in “money will come back,” but i also realize that comes from a place of privilege. i’m fortunate to not have to be living pay check to pay check, where this mindset is so out of scope. 🔭
for those that do have more flexibility with their finances, i firmly believe life should be lived for our experiences in the present, while still keeping somewhat of a financial safety net for the future. 🥅 i’m not saying go to a concert every single day because “money will come back,” but i’m saying that those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that may slightly dip into savings, are worth it for life.
money does come back, if the hustle and dedication to restore your bank account to normal afterwards is there.
not to mention, there’s free money lying everywhere on the internet. travel scholarships, personal development stipends and low-effort paid remote internships are hidden in random corners of the internet. i try my best to share them with you, and i will always be an advocate of using some 3rd part organization’s money before you use your own. what can capitalism and corporations’ tax write-offs do for you❗️
if you’re in a spot where you can realistically make the money back, i say screw it and go for those experiences — that concert, that backpacking trip, that startup cost for a new project.
invest in yourself, your joy, your life’s richness. ☀️
