onto today’s topic: touching grass 🌱

i love being outside.

my new place in cali has a rooftop workspace with an amazing view of greenery, and only a 5 minute walk away, there’s a huge glade with countless gardens surrounding it.

i have been absolutely soaking up all the sunlight and fresh air. i’m working outside all day long and it has done wonders for my energy. i don’t feel too tired throughout the day, and i get deep sleep. 💤

why isn’t school done outside? yeah, some schools have outdoor classrooms .. but let’s be for real, nobody uses those. not only does it save the school money (electricity & physical space), it also hits their goals of shaping mentally healthy students. i bet students would enjoy their school life a lot more if the rooftops were actually put to use even just with turf and beanbags scattered around. just put up medium-height fences all around. i don’t think it’s that hard.

i try to take every chance i get to work outside. i have taken all of my meetings, finished some coding work and filmed all of my content for the week from this plot of grass i’ve been sitting on, and i don’t feel tired at all.

the culture of typing away at a laptop while being enclosed between 4 walls sounds so exhausting and zombie-like. 🧟‍♂️ touching grass is the way to work, and enjoy doing it.

nature and the outdoors energizes me. i love taking walks with no destination or scoping out rollerblading spots. touching grass is so easy, it’s like a no-brainer.

are you touching enough grass?
