onto today’s topic: trust the process 🙏
i’m a bit of a stickler for control. i like having everything in order, mapped out in my brain or on my notion, and following a path along my vision of success.
one area of improvement i’ve identified for myself is letting go of some of that control, especially when it pertains to others in work/school environments. growing up as the kid that always had to pick up the slack for others in group projects at school, i rarely trust others to do their part and to do it with excellence.
i’m working on trusting others to do well, and even if they don’t, that’s a valuable learning experience for them, not a problem i need to fix for myself or another person. 💁
even for finding my people in college or while traveling, i’ve learned to trust the process. nothing ever falls into place immediately, and that’s something i’m internalizing now. i can’t control everything and have it be perfect, and that’s just how life is.
i’ll trust the process. i’ll trust that things will work out. there’s no point in plaguing my mind with pessimism or stress when there’s so much time to make things right in even the worst case scenarios.
we have more time than we think, and i’m trusting that now.
life is full off too many variables too account for, so why bother? just allow yourself to believe it’ll work out. there’s no use in believing the opposite — it only does you harm. 💝
