onto today’s topic: we’re all creatives 🎨

in recent years, being “a creative” has broadened considerably. i think this is a great shift — being creative extends beyond a lone identity of a painter or writer after all.

regardless if you’re an analytical type or engineer, we’re all creatives in some capacity, and i have zero doubt about that.

i’m not a fan of the polarization between creativity and stem. our lives have more depth beyond our career choices.🤓 writing a blog makes you a creative. taking photos and piecing together artful photo dumps makes you a creative. coordinating outfits and thrifting perfect accessories makes you a creative. having organized playlists with curated vibes makes you a creative.

you do have an artistic appreciation nurtured from sensitivity and creation. you intertwine your own original ideas, insights and observations into the little things around you. what is that, if not creative?

often times, a lot of that creative energy is untapped. it’s unexplored. why cast away your creativity? i can tell you with 100% certainty that you love to create and have an imaginative muscle. 💪

being a numbers-driven person and a creative aren’t mutually exclusive characteristics. both art, in all of its many forms, and numbers coexist in all of us. neither is superior nor inferior.

i plan to study computer science and business, but i love fashion, interior design, photography, and content creation. i’m a creative.

you are too.

nurture that energy. :)
