onto today’s topic: “you laugh a lot” 😁
i was recently told that i laugh a lot. it sounded like it was meant to be an insult, but i think of it as a great compliment. having so much to laugh and smile about is a privilege and blessing.
i laugh pretty easily and the worst thing someone could say is, “it wasn’t that funny.” what kick do people get out of stomping out others’ happiness? 🤨 don’t do that to people.
it’s a great thing to laugh, smile and put your emotions on display. you don’t have to reserve your laughter for peak comedy — allow yourself to chuckle, grin a little wider, and laugh even if nobody else is. keeping a straight face while laughing inside isn’t cool, nor is it healthy. 🧘♀️
laughter shouldn’t be as much of a social currency as it currently is. i think if we all greeted each other with terrible dad jokes instead of the insincere “how are you?” the world would be a lot more joyful.
i’m sure you’ve already been told that laughter is the best medicine to anything so i won’t reiterate extensively, but it truly is the easiest way to lift your mood. the kind of laughter where you keep adding on to a joke until you’re doubled over holding your stomach in pain is the best kind and only happens with a touch of delirium. 😇
life isn’t so serious. laughter is free, so laugh freely. :)
