onto today’s topic: bay area parties 🎉 

only in the bay will you see a circle of people huddled around talking about ai startups at a birthday party.

honestly? with the right people, it’s kind of a vibe.

a birthday party + making sushi + super smart people building cool things? we celebrated hardeep, declan & mark’s bday today and it was a blast.

what i appreciate a lot about the bay and the starkly different community here (in comparison to toronto) is that there is such a high density of ambition and drive, but still an energy of mischief and having a fun time. 

it’s such a joyful combination that keeps me stimulated intellectually and emotionally.

this community is why bay area parties are a mix of thought provoking discussion, but also failing to roll sushi and having a laugh. not to mention, i was specifically assigned onto aux, so that was nice. 😋 

yeah, bay area parties might be a little nerdy at times, but that’s exactly how i like it. young people still want to have fun and mess around, it’s not all about raising and pitching to vcs. at least, not yet LOL.

bay area parties = random startup ideas being thrown around + tomfoolery.
