onto today’s topic: give yourself a reset of some sort 💡

i briefly touched on jolting your life earlier in my post about spontaneity, but i want to double down on how important breaking out of a cycle is for productivity, inspiration and increasing the frequency of your bursts of motivation. ⚡️

it’s my yearly tradition to revamp my notion workspace, or os as i like to call it, and write out my goals in it. i start completely blank — i don’t duplicate my templates from the last year and make a few changes. instead, i let myself internalize the aspirations and buckets of goals that first come to mind without being influenced by what was checked or unchecked from last year. ✔️

this has helped me come up with fresh ideas, new approaches for achieving my goals, and revitalized my inspiration for how much more amazing the following year could play out.

resets in any form are so significant for opening your mind up to new perspectives. i don’t even mean in strictly professional settings — literally just checking out a new café once in a while from your daily morning spot is an easy example. ☕️ consistency is a good thing for progress, especially if you’re getting the results you want but occasional resets or jolts can set you up for acceleration.

happy eating a good croissant every morning at your nearby bakery? well, what if the bakery only 2 minutes farther had the most amazing pastries that leave you in such a happy mood for the rest of the day? ☀️ these little jolts outside of repetition can lead to amazing little joys or even deep introspection when they grow to be more daring.

my notion reset is a little jolt that freshens my outlook on goal-setting and ambition each time i do it. what kind of resets do you grant yourself?
