onto today’s topic: go to sleep 😴 

one of my biggest priorities in my daily life is getting 7-8 hours of sleep. i’ve written about how particular i am about my sleep, and i think i jinxed myself. 😭

for the past 2 weeks since coming home my sleep quality has been pretty horrendous, and i have a few suspicions why. i had a very strict sleep schedule for the past 3 months in sf, and i haven’t been able to readjust my 11pm-7am to the est timezone. ⏰

i don’t wake up refreshed and i’ve noticed a prominent drop in my energy. my day is dictated by my sleep, and i can immediately tell how it’s going to go from the way i wake up. i’m not one to hit snooze, but i’ve been hitting the button 3-4 times every morning. it disrupts my plan for the entire day as i’m left to play catch-up.

i also got used to the bed and environment — i guess my body isn’t as forgiving as i thought it’d be. 😵‍💫 not to mention, i’m an extremely light sleeper and a family of 5 with two younger siblings isn’t the most compatible with this.

don’t take your sleep for granted, i’ve been robbed. 💔 my skin has also deteriorated as a result of my inconsistent sleep quality recently, i’m in the trenches.

sleep is so great, prioritize it and make the best out of it. :)
