skin vs. snacks
how long can i gaslight myself 🍫

onto today’s topic: skin vs. snacks 🍫
i can stick to a time-blocked schedule to the minute without a problem. i can make myself lock-in on a project easily as well. i can also discipline myself in practicing certain habits daily.
if there’s a snack sitting in front of me though? game over. i’m such a big snacker, it’s a problem. even worse, i see the result of my sugar craze immediately on my face in the form of pimples. 😍
still, my discipline flies out the window when it comes to a sweet treat. i “well, i only live once” my way out of it despite knowing full well that my skin also only lives once. 💀 the 7-elevens in japan have only amplified this problem — the snacks are abundant and straight gas.
our nightly tradition of watching a studio ghibli movie or show with a fat stack of snacks in front of us doesn’t really help either … it’s okay though, i’ll only get to try a new delicious 7-eleven snack daily during this period in my life. i can treat my skin instead of taking the preventative approach. for now.
once i’m back home, it’ll be easier to control myself since it’s a lot more effort to access good snacks. good convenience stores aren’t a walk away, i’d have to go drive to a grocery store which is far too much effort. 😴
japan’s amazing snacking user experience is lethal. LOL.
